Our family is diverse and speaks English, Spanish, French, Farsi, Hebrew, and Tagalog.

Our family is diverse and speaks English, Spanish, French, Farsi, Hebrew, and Tagalog. Our traditions reflect the diversity of our family. We look forward to sharing this multiculturalism with a child, and incorporating their own unique heritage into our family.

Fall: Thanksgiving is our favorite holiday. We host a large potluck celebration and everyone is invited! The more, the merrier!

Winter: We enjoy decorating our Christmas tree, baking cookies for our neighbors, and building gingerbread houses with our families. Steph has taught Az to snowshoe and we love to go out into the park with a thermos of hot cocoa at the first snow of the year!

Spring: We celebrate Norooz (Persian New Year) with Az’s father’s family, followed by Passover with Az’s mother’s family. We also love to go for walks in the springtime rain.

Summer: We love the water in summer; sprinklers, beaches, lakes. It’s also a special time because our niece and nephew come for summer camp at the New York zoos. We can’t wait until a child is old enough to join in zoo camp fun.

We love our family traditions. We can’t wait to include a child in all our family activities!
